JESSY SMART conducts successful archaeological measuring campaign in the framework of the German Research Foundation Project „Harbours of Roman Iron Age until the Middle Ages“.

For a prospection area of about 123 ha was covered by JESSY SMART. The system proved its advantages in speed and sensitivity of geomagnetic ground mapping.

In cooperation with the Bavarian Preservation of Ancient Monuments Authority, Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, and the Institute of Photonic Technologies a medieval canal named “Karlsgraben” was surveyed close to Weißenburg in the middle Franconia region.
